Idle Drone Strike: how to play and strategy
Build your fleet. Complete 20 missions to unlock Aftershock, then earn 60 stars for five Black Ops missions.
How to play
Drag anywhere to steer. Weapons fire automatically. Arrows / WASD move, Space or B deploys your unique bomb, X fires a charged Shockwave, P pauses.
Rules and progression
Your factory automatically adds lithium, alloy, and circuits to your totals, including during missions. Returning credits up to two hours of offline production. Upgrade production or research drone firepower, speed, maneuverability and starting armor.
Defeat the first boss to recover the Needle blueprint, then assemble it in the factory. Clear operation 3 to unlock advanced research. Mission victories reward factory materials; first clears pay double.
Select a drone in the hangar and launch a mission. Clear 20 missions in order, each with its own terrain, hazards and boss. Earn 3 stars for no hits, 2 with at least two hull remaining, otherwise 1.
Replay missions to improve your rating. Kestrel is available from the start; build Needle in the factory and clear mission 5 to unlock Bulwark. Existing drone unlocks are preserved.
Every drone has five distinct gun stages. Collect the missile pack for a gun evolution, the silver shield for an armor plate, the infinity symbol for 8 seconds of invincibility, and the yellow bomb for a bomb. Armor holds up to three plates: each absorbs one hit without losing your gun.
Without armor, a hit costs one hull and resets your gun to stage 1. Research permanent starting armor in the factory. Every mission starts with three hull, stage-one guns and two bombs; carry up to three bombs.
Boats follow waterways; ground vehicles follow roads and avoid solid structures. Elevated bridges pass over boats. Aircraft fly above terrain, so ground units do not collide with your drone, but their weapons do.
Red marks warn before attacks; armored shield generators must be destroyed before the boss core opens. Training lets you try all drones, gun tiers, skins and bosses without changing campaign progress or earning factory supplies. All national flag skins are free.
Other premium drones and skins are previews while purchases are being prepared. Campaign records, workshop production and drone research stay on this device.
Replay plan: learn the warning, then improve the rating
If a boss keeps costing you a clean run, use Training to study its warnings and openings. During the mission, leave a marked attack area before lining up more damage. When shield generators protect the core, attack those first. Once you know the pattern, replay the operation for a better rating instead of assuming a later drone is the only solution.
Plan your next move
- Factory production continues during missions. Balance permanent research with production upgrades so future attempts benefit from both.
- Armor protects hull and gun progress, but the three-star goal is a no-hit run. Avoid protected hits too.
- Save room to dodge near the edges. A safe route through bullets is more valuable than chasing a pickup into a corner.
