Privacy policy
This policy explains how information is handled on the One Thumb Arcade website and in the Thread mobile app, including Thread by One Thumb Arcade for iOS, and Cubed for Android and iOS.
Updated October 8, 2026
Information on your device
The app saves sound and motion preferences, personal bests, daily attempts, achievements, streaks, custom-track settings, and a randomly generated player credential on your device. It also keeps a limited queue of ranked results waiting to upload. These records keep your settings and progress available between sessions.
Web arcade
Our browser games save personal bests and sound preferences in local browser storage. These local scores are not submitted to the THREAD leaderboard. Clearing browser data removes them. Web games run in your browser and do not require an account.
Optional OTA accounts
You can sign in with an email link to create an OTA profile. Supabase verifies your email and manages your sign-in session. We store your authentication account identifier, account email, chosen player name, creation and update timestamps, and email-update preference in our hosted database. Your email is private and is not displayed to other players. Email updates are off by default; you can change your choice on the account page. If you opt in, we record when you gave that consent.
OTA accounts are separate from THREAD app records. Account-linked achievements and score syncing are not yet active. Tumbleverse uses its own browser player ID for board leaderboards, separate from your OTA profile. Your sign-in session is saved in this browser until you sign out or clear its site data. Signing out does not delete your OTA profile.
Tumbleverse board leaderboards
When you finish a Tumbleverse game with a score, we submit the board, score, merge count, highest piece reached, and drop count to our Tumbleverse leaderboard service. A random credential saved in your browser identifies your results; the service stores a derived player ID and your best result for each board. Rankings are shared with Tumbleverse app players and show a shortened TV player ID, rank, and score. No account or email is required. Your browser and the mobile app have separate player IDs.
Personal bests, discoveries, the last board played, and pending results are saved in local browser storage. Pending best results retry when you reconnect or visit the collection. Clearing browser storage removes these local records and disconnects this browser from its prior player ID; it does not delete scores already posted online. For a removal request, contact us with your public TV player ID and board name. Do not send your private credential.
Wreckline garage and daily rankings
Wreckline uses a randomly generated private browser cookie to recognize your driver. We store a derived driver identifier, career haul, best score, delivered cargo totals, and run records such as route seed, selected truck, date, start time, and result. Your steering inputs are sent after a saved run so the server can replay the drive and verify its score; the inputs are not retained in the game database. Successful daily results may appear publicly with a shortened driver ID, score, delivered cargo, and completion time. No email is required, and this garage is separate from your OTA email account.
Sound preferences stay in local storage. Practice does not post results. Clearing the Wreckline cookie disconnects this browser from its saved driver and creates a new garage; it does not remove previously posted scores. To request removal, contact us with your public driver ID and relevant daily date. Do not share the private cookie.
THREAD online leaderboards
When you use daily rankings, the app sends a random player credential and ranked-run information to our leaderboard service. That information includes the daily track, run identifier, score, distance, duration, and relevant timestamps. The service stores a derived player identifier and run records to maintain rankings, recognize your scores, and check submitted results.
Leaderboard viewers can see a shortened Threader ID, rank, score, track, selected ID frame, and earned badge count. We store the selected frame and earned badge identifiers to display your profile. We do not ask you to create a public name or provide an email address to play. A Threader ID is a persistent pseudonymous identifier; it should not be treated as fully anonymous.
Sharing
Sharing is initiated by you through your device’s share menu. The result or track link you choose is passed to your selected app. THREAD does not read your contacts or verify who ultimately receives a message. The selected app handles the shared content under its own privacy practices.
Network and hosting information
Our online services use OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare hosting. Those providers process technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the services, and may retain operational or security logs. The website includes Google AdSense connection code. It does not include a separate analytics script. The optional OTA account form saves your player name and email-update preference.
Website advertising and cookies
One Thumb Arcade uses Google AdSense to connect this website for advertising review. Display ad requests are currently paused while approval, ad placements, and consent settings are prepared. Loading the connection code sends technical request information, such as your IP address and browser information, to Google.
When advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to deliver and measure ads, limit repeated ads, and prevent fraud. Advertising cookies may be used to personalize ads based on visits to this website and other websites, depending on your choices and applicable consent requirements.
You can manage personalized advertising in Google My Ad Center, and learn about other participating providers’ choices at YourAdChoices. Browser settings let you block or remove cookies; clearing site data also removes locally saved web-game scores and preferences.
Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy. Before display ads are enabled, this website’s consent controls and privacy information will be updated to reflect the advertising features in use.
Thread for iOS
The ad-enabled release of Thread by One Thumb Arcade for iOS includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK for banner advertising. Earlier build 1001 did not include this SDK. Google may process IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), app- or developer-bounded device identifiers, advertising impressions and interactions, crash logs, and performance data to deliver and measure ads, improve its services, and prevent fraud. The app requests non-personalized ads and does not request access to the device advertising identifier through Apple’s tracking-permission prompt. Non-personalized ads still involve data processing. The game does not require an OTA email account and does not request contacts, precise location, camera, or microphone access.
The iOS app uses the device preferences, generated player credential, leaderboard records, badges, and selected ID frame described above to provide game features. Gameplay results and product interactions, such as tracks played and ranked runs, are associated with your persistent player identifier. Local personal records are separate from results submitted to the leaderboard.
Google’s User Messaging Platform checks consent requirements when the app launches and presents applicable privacy messages before requesting ads. Where required, an Ad privacy control lets you revisit your choices. If ads cannot be requested or loaded, the game remains playable. Google processes advertising data under Google’s Privacy Policy; see its iOS SDK data disclosure for more information. Website advertising and OTA email accounts are separate from the app’s advertising integration.
Thread for Android advertising
The Thread Android app includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google collects and shares IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), app and advertising interactions, diagnostic information, and device or other identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. SDK data is transmitted using encryption. The app does not request precise location, contacts, camera, or microphone access. Device advertising settings and any applicable consent choices can affect personalized advertising; they do not necessarily stop all SDK data collection.
Thread cosmetic purchases
Thread includes optional cosmetic purchases through Google Play or Apple’s App Store, subject to store availability. The store handles payment details; we do not receive your payment card information. To verify purchases and restore access, our service processes product identifiers, purchase tokens or transaction identifiers, the platform, a randomly generated purchase-account token, and verification timestamps. Cosmetic entitlements are stored on your device and our server. Authorized app reviewers can redeem a review code; we store a signed access token associated with their pseudonymous player ID so review cosmetics also display on leaderboards. Review access does not award badges or create a purchase.
Google’s Privacy Policy explains its advertising data practices. Apple handles iOS payments through StoreKit and the App Store under Apple’s Privacy Policy. App stores process purchases under their own privacy policies.
Retention and removal
Device progress remains until app data is removed; device or operating-system backup behavior may affect restoration. Pending ranked uploads expire from the app’s retry queue after 24 hours. Online player and score records are retained to operate the leaderboard and track history; they do not currently have an automatic expiry.
Clearing device data does not delete records already submitted online and can disconnect your device from its previous Threader ID. For privacy questions or requests about an online record, email info@onethumbarcade.com. For THREAD records, include your public Threader ID and relevant track numbers; for OTA profiles, include your account email. Do not send your private player credential. We may need additional information to verify a request.
Cubed for Android and iOS
Cubed works offline and requires no account. Progress, best scores, active runs, and preferences stay on your device. Cubed does not send gameplay scores to a leaderboard or our servers. Clearing app data or uninstalling can remove your saves. The optional one-time Remove Ads purchase disables all banner and interstitial ads. Google Play or Apple handles payments; we do not receive your payment card details. The app verifies store purchase records and keeps purchase entitlements or signed receipts on your device to restore ad removal with the same store account. Cubed has no subscription or cross-store purchase synchronization.
Cubed includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK for banners and occasional interstitials at completed-run breaks. Google may process IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), device or app identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, product interactions, crash diagnostics, and performance data for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. SDK data is encrypted in transit. Cubed does not request precise location, contacts, camera, or microphone access.
Cubed is intended for a mixed-age audience, including children. Both native apps treat all ad requests as child-directed, limit ad content to Google's general-audience rating, and request non-personalized ads. Android advertising permissions for the advertising ID and Advertising Services are removed, and iOS does not request Apple's tracking permission or use the advertising identifier for these child-directed requests. Non-personalized ads still involve the data processing described above. Google's User Messaging Platform is told that all users are under the age of consent; children are not asked to consent to personalized advertising. Ad availability and privacy choices do not prevent offline gameplay.
Parents and guardians can contact info@onethumbarcade.com with privacy questions. Game saves can be removed by clearing the app's local data or uninstalling. We do not hold Cubed gameplay records or account records on our servers. Google's Privacy Policy covers its advertising data processing.
