Wreckline: how to play and strategy

Your cargo. Your weapon. Tow a valuable haul through the docks and swing your trailers into pursuers.

How to play

Hold and drag left or right from your touch point to steer. Release to brake. On a keyboard, use A/D or the left/right arrows; hold Space to brake. P or Escape pauses. Blue cargo attaches automatically when you drive over it.

Rules and progression

Reach extraction with at least one cargo trailer before the gate closes at 3:45. Every trailer adds cargo value, towing weight, and a delayed sideways swing. Strike a red pursuer with a fast-moving trailer to take it out.

Straight collisions damage the truck or its cargo. Losing a trailer breaks the chain behind it. Green repair pads restore truck and trailer armor.

Yellow express lanes on the left are faster but have striped barriers; use the wider right lane when the convoy needs room. A successful escape banks the remaining cargo value plus takedown, remaining-time, and armor bonuses. Failed runs bank no haul.

Career haul unlocks the Mule at 18,000 and Bastion at 45,000, plus cosmetic paint finishes. Dockyard contracts use fresh routes and your unlocked trucks. Daily escape gives everyone the same route and Switchback, with a new challenge at midnight Pacific.

Only your best successful daily run enters the shared top 25. The server verifies the recorded drive before saving its score. Your garage uses a private browser driver cookie; clearing cookies creates a new driver.

Practice does not change your garage or the leaderboard.

Worked example: use the outside of a turn

A pursuer closing on your last trailer is an opportunity. Begin a sideways swerve while the buggy is beside the chain: the truck moves first, then the trailers swing through the space it left. A fast lateral hit destroys the buggy. If you steer too late, it can ram the trailer straight from behind instead. Practice the timing with one trailer before trying a full four-trailer convoy.

Plan your next move

  • Pick up the first blue cargo on the clear opening stretch. You need at least one trailer at extraction, but filling every slot immediately is optional.
  • The left fork trades safety for a ramp, premium cargo, and a route bonus. The right fork has repairs. Ramps lift each trailer in sequence; keep the convoy straight through the jump.
  • Use repair pads before a link fails. If a front trailer breaks, you lose the trailers behind it too; protecting that link protects the whole haul.
  • Double-tap and keep dragging to boost, or press B on a keyboard. Near misses, pickups, landings, and takedowns refill nitro; chain moves within eight seconds for a higher style multiplier.
  • Heavy steel hits hard but slows the convoy. Fragile loads lose payout value when damaged. Explosive loads can clear several pursuers in one swing but consume that trailer.
  • Read amber warning zones before forklifts, falling containers, and security gates. Swing cargo at Ironjaw’s highlighted side during its exposure window for a boss bonus.
  • Check today’s three contracts in the garage or pause with JOBS during a run. Contract bonuses are repeatable and bank only when you escape with cargo.

How are the garage and daily scores saved?

Successful runs earn career haul toward permanent truck and paint unlocks. A private cookie identifies your browser to the saved garage; it is separate from your OTA email account. Keep cookies to keep access to that driver. Daily runs use a fixed Switchback and route, and the server replays your inputs to calculate the result. Practice is available without a saved run and never changes career or leaderboard records.
